The CWT has for a number of years been running an awards scheme.
This has been designed to recognise the work of those who have sought to improve public health through good food.
Previous winners of the Caroline Walker Trust Award have ranged from scientists with international reputations to local food and community groups endeavouring to improve the health and well-being of local communities. We would like to continue the tradition of recognising those individuals and groups who have made valuable contributions in this area.
The Maggie Sanderson Student Awards recognise and celebrate Honours degree
(post graduate) student's work which contribute to the ideals of the Trust,
the promotion of public health through good food. Submissions are sought
via recommendation from course leaders and The Trust is particularly
interested in work with a practical outcome - a piece of research which
makes a difference.
As we are running a one day conference on Tuesday 25th November 2008, this will take the place of our usual Annual Lecture and Awards evening. There will be a series of lectures throughout the day covering the areas the Trust has been involved in over the last 20 years. We do not have plans to include an Award scheme in this event.
